The Midnight Mass, Edward Timothy Hurley, 1911, Oil on Canvas
From the Collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum

Merry Christmas, everyone, and a Happy 2006!
Love the painting from the Cincinnati Art Museum! As a Cincy native, I know the CAM has quite a collection and a dazzling exhibition space! In Mt. Adams, no less. Are you a Rookwood pottery fan? Love it! :-)
I also appreciated your descriptive thoughts on Gene Shalit on Americablog. I always thought his reviews were the most superficial around and he is unkempt! Ha!
C, In the unstuck in time manner of the internets, I just read your comments...Thanks. If you've not visited the Cincinnati Wing of the CAM you really should try...Stunning Rookwood and other gorgeous A&C examples of Cincinnati's cutting edge 19th century art crowd.
